Healthwise- Habits to Keep a Healthy Lifestyle

Healthy lifestyle is a necessary norm for today's living. We are constantly grueling on the knowledge that we are living a sedentary life. That's when we then realize that we must be loosing grasps of all the much needed attention on health.

Eating is not a problem when it is done properly and on a proper amount. It is a must that we eat what can be termed as healthy foods, the ones rich in fiber and vitamins to combat certain diseases that may arise anytime in our life. This is not only beneficial to us but being consciously health wise, is also money wiser. If we don't take good care of our health, we can not only enjoy what others do, but practicality comes..."we save ourselves from diseases and other cause of heath risks and we won't have to see bills on medications as well"

I have here some healthy options and regimen that might interest those who are health-conscious.

1. Do Exercise(Movements)- it is not really important that you must do exercise, but if you try to do some chores that would start to make you move or walk, is a good start. Try doing this when you are cleaning your home. Going from one place to another that is walking distance, or even climbing stairs not to use elevators or escalators. This is also good when you love to play outdoor games that uses more of you reflexes.

2. Eat well. It is not that important that you must follow a dietary program. You can simply do this by being conscious of your food intakes. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Cereals, legumes, fish and other sea foods are also good sources of vitamins. Less calories, cut on your dairy food intakes. You can also watch your health by noting the labels(nutritional values) on those grocery items you buy.

3. Quit Bad habits like smoking - This is not too bad, after all you just want to make sure that you live a good and healthy life. You can start by reducing your use of cigarette/tobacco. This is also a good move on your part, since you won't be too harsh on your person to person contact and on the environment , one thing that leads to stoppage of pollution as well.

4. De stress yourself- This is another thing that some are used to abuse, because of too much pressure and problems, some tend to eat more than what is necessary, eating their way from the stress their going through. Instead of doing this, why not make yourself busy, like doing some household work, snatch some dresses that needs mending or work on your thoughts( you can write, paint, knit, or try taking pictures) just so to stray your thoughts from foods .

5. Limit your drinking sessions- Although recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day (two for men) can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney disease or cancer. Try to avoid commitments that you know will lead you to overdo habitual drinking.

6. Water Intake- Already proven in several studies that water is a good form of therapy for anybody. Sometimes, we tend to misconceive our feeling of thirst from being hungry.
Drink as much water as possible to dispose of toxins from our body.

What's in your color?...Color That's Right For You

How do we define colour? When we speak of colour/color , we don't only relate them with race or a mixture of what we see(black, white, blue, a mixture of them, etc.). Color has been a complex word for me. It can be a verification of life, realities, situations, moods, transcendences, meanings, energies, power , nature, culture and many more to relate it with. Color is a constant in life. We are surrounded by different colors and it's seemingly overwhelming wonders. Isn't it great that we are given the potentials and abilities to ponder on this world in the wonders of them. They might be none verbal or a seemingly unseen forces, but they have an impact in our daily lives. Like we are swept and dazzled by the gems that we wear. We wear them as an ornament or as an energy to help us cope with life's adversities. Below, I listed and quoted some quotable meanings and characteristics of colors.

"The goal is to understand that color isn't an exact science and your job is to use it in the best way for your specific application."

What Is Color? Color is the byproduct of the spectrum of light, as it is reflected or absorbed, as received by the human eye and processed by the human brain. It's also a great design element!

"The world is full of light. Visible light is made of seven wavelength groups. These are the colors you see in a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet—the Mr. ROY G. BIV you might have been introduced to in elementary school science. The reddish colors are the long wavelengths. The greenish colors are the mid-size wavelengths. The bluish color are the short wavelengths. When light hits objects, some of the wavelengths are absorbed and some are reflected, depending on the materials in the object. The reflected wavelengths are what we perceive as the object's color. "

Meanings of different varieties of colors and their related gem stones:

@Blue- Blue is calming. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Almost everyone likes some shade of the color blue. A natural color, from the blue of the sky, blue is a universal color. The cool, calming effect of blue makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep. A pure blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity and spirituality. Blue is often the chosen color by conservative people. Blue is a good color for bedrooms. However, too much blue could dampen spirits.

Wear dark blues for a stable, calm conservative feeling. All shades of blue will help to make easy communication, whether it is with yourself or others. Use blue paper for notes when you want help in remembering a speech or other information.

Blue gemstones promote peace and are used to calm ragged emotions. They are used to provide relief to people who have difficulty sleeping or who have nightmares. They offer inspiration and enhance the quality of communication.

* Turquoise is the symbol of youth, both the color and the gemstone. This color has a soothing affect. Turquoise is the color of communication. It contains the growth quality of green with the blue quality of communication. Turquoise has long been used in amulets to provide protection, health, confidence and strength. Aqua is the color of high ideals.

@Green- Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. On the flip side, green is jealousy or envy (green-eyed monster) and inexperience.

Green is a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue. Like blue, time moves faster in a green room. With both a warming and cooling effect, the color green denotes balance, harmony, and stability. Use several shades of green for a fresh, Springtime feel. Olive green, also called olive drab, is a not so drab summery green that may have military overtones for some people. Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don't know what color to use anywhere use green.

Egyptians wore green eyeliner. Green eye shades are still used. You should eat raw green foods for good health. Friday is the day of green. Green jade is a sacred stone of Asia. Green gemstones are used to attract money, prosperity and wealth. They are balancing stones that promote growth and fertility. Carry, wear or place green gemstones around your home or office to promote balance, change and growth.

*The emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus. It was thought to preserve love. The emerald has long been the symbol of hope. It is considered by many to be the stone of prophecy. For some the emerald acts as a tranquilizer for a troubled mind. The emerald is said to bring the wearer reason and wisdom. The strongest time for the powers of the emerald is said to be spring. Jade is an ancient stone that has historically been used to attract love. Carved into a butterfly, in China it is a powerful symbol used to draw love.

@Yellow- Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit. The shade of yellow determines the meaning. Pure, bright and sunny yellow is the easiest color to see. People who are blind to other colors can usually see yellow. Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy. Always use yellow note pads. Yellow symbolizes wisdom. Yellow means joy and happiness. People of high intellect favor yellow. Yellow daffodils are a symbol of unrequited love. Sunday's color is yellow-gold.

Wear yellow to present a cheery, uplifting effect. Use it around your office to help keep a clear your mind, and improve memory and decision making. Carry or wear yellow gemstones to promote the ability to express yourself. They are excellent stones for writers and public speakers to increase eloquence. The yellow stones stimulate movement and mental awareness. They are used to enhance decision making skills.

*Amber is technically not a gemstone or mineral, but a fossilized sap from prehistoric trees that has aged over the course of millions of years. Amber is usually thought of as yellow golden in hue, but amber also can be found in shades of milky white, red-orange, green, black and even (very rarely) violet. Early physicians prescribed amber for headaches, heart problems, arthritis and a variety of other ailments.

In ancient times, amber was carried by travelers for protection. To early Christians, amber signified the presence of the Lord.

*Lemon Quartz (also called green gold) is a beautiful variety of yellow quartz with shades of green that is mined in Brazil. Several color tones and the presence of phantoms make these points especially striking.

@Red - Red is hot. It's a strong color that conjures up a range of seemingly conflicting emotions from passionate love to violence and warfare. Red is Cupid and the Devil. A stimulant, red is the hottest of the warm colors. Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure. Red is the color of blood, and as such has strong symbolism as life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the color of passion and lust.

Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs (very important people). Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and one of the top picks of males. On the negative side red can mean temper or anger. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Brides wear red and front doors are often painted red. Red is Tuesday's color. Red roses symbolize passionate love.
Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand. Red is the color of Mars. This planet is known as the God of War.

Use the color red to grab attention and to get people to take action. Use red when you don't want to sink into the background. Use red to suggest speed combined with confidence and perhaps even a dash of danger. A little bit of red goes a long way. Small doses can often be more effective than large amounts of this strong color. Multiple shades of red and even pink or orange can combine for a cheerful palette.

Red gemstones can be used to strengthen the body, promote will power and courage, add vitality, overcome sexual dysfunctions. Carry or place red gemstones around your home or office to stimulate vitality and energy.

*The ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem in the universe, and is associated with many astral signs. To own a ruby is said to have contentment and peace. Placed under a pillow the ruby may ward off bad dreams. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand so as to receive the life force and have protection.
Given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship and love. The ruby is also the symbol of vitality and royalty.
The Ruby is filled with love. It also helps sexual love to be more passionate. Persons lacking in self-love should have and mediate on the Ruby. It also gives the courage to be best potential that a person has.

@Pink- Pink is a softer, less violent red. Pink is the sweet side of red. It's cotton candy and bubble gum and babies, especially little girls. Pink is the color of universal love. Pink is a quiet color. Lovers of beauty favor pink. A pink carnation means "I will never forget you".

Pink is a combination of red and white. The quality of energy in pink is determined by how much red is present. White is the potential for fullness, while red helps you to achieve that potential. Pink combines these energies. Shades of deep pink, such as magenta, are effective in neutralizing disorder and violence. Some prisons use limited deep pink tones to diffuse aggressive behaviour.

While red stirs up passion and action, studies have shown that large amounts of pink can create physical weakness in people. Perhaps there is a tie-in between this physical reaction and the color's association with the so-called weaker sex.

Both red and pink denote love but while red is hot passion, pink is romantic and charming. Use pink to convey playfulness (hot pink flamingoes) and tenderness (pastel pinks). Multiple shades of pink and light purple or other pastels used together maintain the soft, delicate, and playful nature of pink. Add strength with darker shades of pinks and purple and burgundy.

Pink gemstones can be used to promote love, self-worth, order and protection from violence or aggression. Carry or place pink gemstones around your home or office to stimulate love and beauty.

*Rose quartz is known as the love stone. It helps the user feel a strong sense of self-worth, therefore being worth love. Rose quartz is the stone of universal love. It is also the stone of love in marriage. When worn in jewelry the wearer feels a sense of self-worth. Your marriage can have more sparkle and fire when you keep a rose quartz under your pillow. You will look younger too.

Rose Quartz has a gentle vibration of love for the owner. It gives inner peace and helps in all matters pertaining to love in all its forms. Rose Quartz opens the heart to love. It also helps as a rejuvenator to the skin. It is a lovely stone for a young person.

@Orange- Orange is vibrant. It's a combination of red and yellow so it shares some common attributes with those colors. It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun. But orange has a bit less intensity or aggression than red, calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow. Orange is a power color. It is one of the healing colors. It is said to increase the craving for food. It also stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. Orange means vitality with endurance. People who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere. Lady luck's color is orange. I have been told that if a change of any kind is need in life, just burn an orange candle for 7 nights.

As a warm color orange is a stimulant — stimulating the emotions and even the appetite. Orange can be found in nature in the changing leaves of fall, the setting sun, and the skin and meat of citrus fruit. Orange brings up images of autumn leaves, pumpkins, and (in combination with Black) Halloween. It represents the changing seasons so in that sense it is a color on the edge, the color of change between the heat of summer and the cool of winter.

If you want to get noticed without screaming, consider the color orange — it demands attention. The softer oranges such as peach are even friendlier, more soothing. Peachy oranges are less flamboyant than their redder cousins but still energetic.Wearing orange during times of stress, or shock can help to balance your emotions. It can bring about the willingness to embrace new ideas with enjoyment and a sense of exploration and creative play.

Orange gemstones contain some of the fiery energies of red, but are gentler with a more creative spirit. They are used to promote personal power and are useful for people who could use more self esteem. Carry or place orange gemstones around your home or office to stimulate creativity, mental quickness, ability to adjust to changes.

*Orange Calcite can be used to get positive energy moving in the areas of sexuality, and creativity. Orange Calcite has strong energizing and cleansing properties.

@Black- Considered the negation of color, black is conservative, goes well with almost any color except the very dark. It also has conflicting connotations. It can be serious and conventional. The color black can also be mysterious, sexy, and sophisticated. Use the color black to convey elegance, sophistication, or perhaps a touch of mystery. Dark charcoal gray and very dark brown can sometimes stand in for black. Black is the most misunderstood color. A black tie dinner is very formal and elegant. Women can wear that "must have little black dress" to the black tie dinner. Yet the bad guys wear black hats.

Black symbolizes death in some cultures. Native Americans thought black was good because it was the color of soil, which gives life. Saturday's color is black. Black is the absence of color. In clothing, black is visually slimming. Black, like other dark colors, can make a room appear to shrink in size and even a well-lit room looks dark with a lot of black. Black can make other colors appear brighter.

Black is not a color, strictly speaking. It is the absence of all color. When people speak of opposites, it is usually in terms of black and white. Black, and its opposite white, represent polarities. Black absorbs all aspects of light. While white reveals, black conceals. It has come to mean hidden, fearful or bad experience. It is linked to the unknown or the unseen. In times of fear and uncertainty black contains the energy of the threatening unknown. In a positive state, black is seen as a restful emptiness into which anything may emerge and disappear once again. It is also mysterious, providing a sense of potential and possibility.

Black gemstones symbolize self control and resilience. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

*Onyx is known to separate. It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief. It is used to end unhappy or bothersome relationships. Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

*Rub black tourmaline for luck and happiness. This is a powerful stone and a very lucky stone. When the tourmaline is rubbed it becomes charged with magnetic electricity and the luck intensifies.

@Brown- Brown is a natural, down-to-earth neutral color. It is found in earth, wood, and stone. Brown is a warm neutral color that can stimulate the appetite. It is found extensively in nature in both living and non-living materials.

People who prefer brown are often conventional and orderly. The negative meaning of brown can be a repressed personality or a lazy person. Brown is the color of the earth and is associated with the material side of life. Brown can mix into many surroundings. It is a mixture of red, blue and yellow and has many shades and tones - each producing a different effect. Brown can be a stabilizing color. The red in brown gives it practical energy while the yellow and blue add mental focus energies. Too much brown can make a dull effect. Brown gives a feeling of solidity, and allows one to stay in the background, unnoticed.

Brown represents wholesomeness and earthiness. While it might be considered a little on the dull side, it also represents steadfastness, simplicity, friendliness, dependability, and health. Although blue is the typical corporate color, UPS (United Parcel Service) has built their business around the dependability associated with brown.

The color brown and its lighter cousins in tan, taupe, beige, or cream make excellent backgrounds helping accompanying colors appear richer, brighter. Use brown to convey a feeling of warmth, honesty, and wholesomeness. Although found in nature year-round, brown is often considered a fall and winter color. It is more casual than black.

*Petrified wood has been around practically since time began. Under specific conditions the organic materials are replaced by agate, bit by bit, as it decomposes. Sometimes jasper, quartz and even opal can be found in fossilized wood. Most often it is brown, but can also be grey or green in color. Petrified wood is powerful in removing obstacles. Use it to assist in reaching goals that you are having trouble with or to smooth a path for any endeavor that you anticipate will be ridden with difficult barriers.

*Petrified Wood helps restore physical energy and is good in relieving hip and back problems.

@Gold- It is no surprise that gold symbolizes wealth used wisely, but it is also the symbol of good health. People who favor the color gold are optimistic. A cousin to yellow (and orange and brown) is gold. While green may be the color of money (U.S. money, that is) gold is the color of riches and extravagance. The color gold shares many of the attributes of yellow. It is a warm color that can be both bright and cheerful as well as somber and traditional. Because gold is a precious metal, the color gold is associated with wealth and prosperity. While all that glitters is not gold the color gold still suggests grandeur, and perhaps on the downside, the excesses of the rich. Gold is the traditional gift for a Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary while gold-like bronze is for the eighth and copper with its reddish-gold tones is for the seventh. Wearing gold in everyday life increases personal power, and promotes courage, confidence and willpower.

*Gold chains worn around the neck preserve health. Add a small amount of metallic gold ink to a project for a special, rich touch. Bright gold catches the eye while darker subdued shades of gold lend richness and warmth.

The tibetan Buddhist believes in 5 sacred stones: the crystal for light, turquoise for infinity of sea and sky, coral for life and form, gold for the golden ray of the sun, silver for the light of the moon. Gold is intimately linked with Divinity and those gods associated with the Sun. It symbolizes wealth and success.

@Purple-Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color. Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation. Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists. Thursday's color is purple.

Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often delicate and considered precious. Because purple is derived from the mixing of a strong warm and strong cool color it has both warm and cool properties. A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity. Too much purple, like blue, could result in moodiness. Deep or bright purples suggest riches while lighter purples are more romantic and delicate. Use redder purples for a warmer color scheme or the bluer purples to cool down. Wear purple when you want to encourage fantasy, mystery and imagination.

The color of mourning for widows in Thailand, purple was the favorite color of Egypt's Cleopatra. It has been traditionally associated with royalty in many cultures. Purple robes were worn by royalty and people of authority or high rank. The Purple Heart is a U.S. Military decoration given to soldiers wounded in battle.

Violet is the color of purpose. Violet is associated with the Crown chakra (This links individual and universal). Violet is a combination of blue and red. Red is a focusing, dynamic and active energy while blue is cooling, calming and expansive. Violet brings a new dynamic to the expansion of blue and the activity of red. Red brings practicality to the undirected expansiveness of the blue, and allows more creative energy to emerge. For this reason, violet is associated with imagination and inspiration.

Violet gemstones are associated with mysticism and purification. They are used for meditation and to sharpen psychic awareness, connection with higher self, and to increase imagination and inspiration.

* Crystalline quartz in shades of purple, lilac or mauve is called amethyst, a stone traditionally worn to guard against drunkeness and to instill a sober mind. The word amethyst comes from the Greek meaning "without drunkenness" and amethyst is beleived to protect one from poison. It is used as a dream stone and to help insomnia. Put an amethyst under your pillow to bring about pleasant dreams, or rub it across your forehead to offer relief from a headache.

*The amethyst is known as the Bishop's Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops. The amethyst symbolizes piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom. It is thought the amethyst is the perfect stone to symbolize The Age of Aquarius.

@White- White is purity, cleanliness, and innocence. Like black, white goes well with almost any color. To the human eye, white is a brilliant color that can cause headaches for some. Too much bright white can be blinding. Brides wear white in many countries, because white symbolizes a virgin. White means kindness. In some cultures white is worn at funerals. White is Monday's color. White daisies are a symbol of loyal love.

Strictly speaking, white is not a color, but the manifestation of the presence of all color - the complete energy of light. It stands for wholeness and completion. In many cultures it represents openness and truth. White has a cold quality. It can provide clarity as its energy is complete. White has purification vibrations and can be used to clear blocks from your path. It holds the potential to move toward every other color and this makes it a good choice for new beginnings, and development in any direction.

In most Western countries white is the color for brides. In the East, it's the color for mourning and funerals. White is often associated with hospitals, especially doctors, nurses, and dentists. Some cultures viewed white as the color of royalty or of dieties. Angels are typically depicted as wearing white. In early Westerns the good guy wore white while the bad guy wore black.

In most cases white is seen as a neutral background color and other colors, even when used in smaller proportion, are the colors that convey the most meaning in a design. Use white to signify cleanliness or purity or softness. Some neutral beige, ivory, and creams carry the same attributes as white but are more subdued, less brilliant than plain white. Use lots of white for a summery look. Use small amounts of white to soften a wintery palette or suggest snow.White gemstones are ruled by the Moon and are associated with sleep and psychic energy. They are often used for good fortune, protection after dark. The crystal amplifies the powers of other stones. Some say that because white stones contain all the colors, they can act as substitutes for stones of any color.

*Quartz crystal is a clear variety of quartz that was first found high in the frozen mountains of the Alps. Ancient people believed it was a form of ice crystals that would never melt. It is said to have cooling powers and is a romantic stone. Sources of quartz crystal include Brazil, Madagascar, Switzerland, France and parts of the Soviet Union.

Crystal is a common stone, but a powerful one. It is mainly used in healing as amplification for the energies of the other working stones. In healing, the crystal point is best and the size can be important. For meditating the crystal ball or point can be used. As it is a powerful stone the user should experiment with each to find what is best for him. The Quartz Crystal has a similar vibration as humans. This is why using Crystal to meditate and keeping a Crystal helps one to know oneself. It will sometimes not work for a negative person.

*Howlite can be found in green, white and blue. It is a super-calming stone and many people use it to releive stress of all kinds. It makes an excellent antidote to insomnia due to an overactive mind. Place a howlite stone in your pocket to absorb your own anger - or another's anger that is directed toward you. It helps to overcome critical or selfish behaviour.

@Gray- Gray is a neutral, balanced color. It is a cool, conservative color that seldom evokes strong emotion although it can be seen as a cloudy or moody color. Gray is the color of sorrow. People who favor gray can be the lone wolf type or narrow-minded. Gray with more silver in it can be a very active color. Native Americans associate gray with friendship. Gray is the symbol for security, maturity and dependability. It connotes responsibility and conservative practicality.

Gray is the true neutral color. Its energy imparts void, emptiness, lack of movement, emotion, warmth and identifying characteristics. Because of this, gray can be restful. It has a detached and isolated feeling. Gray can have a cooling effect when placed next to other more vibrant colors. It has a stabilizing effect, making vibrant colors stand out while muting their vibration.

Like black, gray is used as a color of mourning as well as a color of formality. Along with blue suits, gray suits are part of the uniform of the corporate world. Dark, charcoal gray carries with it some of the strengh and mystery of black. It is a sophisticated color without much of the negative attributes of black. Lighter grays are similar to white. Gray tuxedos are common for men at weddings. All shades of gray can be good, neutral background colors. Use lighter grays in place of white and darker gray in place of black. Taupe, a grayish brown neutral is a conservative, slightly earthy, warm shade of gray.

Gray gemstones are healing stones and can assist in improving relationships toward more stability. Gray clothing suggests efficiency and is often used for this in the business world. Gray can also suggest lack of imagination, so should be used carefully. Gray will emphasize neutrality. Too much gray, or the wrong shades will suggest lack of character, initiative and detachment. Add a hint of another color to gray clothing to express efficiency with personality.

*Hematite is used to improve relationships. If you need your personal relationship to be better, carry a hematite with you always. The name comes from the Greek word for blood. It has been used as an amulet against bleeding, and so is known as the "blood stone". When arranged like the petals of a flower, it is referred to as the "iron rose". Native American folklore states that war paint made from hematite will make one invincible in battle. People in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries wore hematite jewelry during mourning.

*Specular Hematite is an excellent stone to keep on your desk to counter the ill effects of your computer on your energy body. Specularite brings grounding and high energy simultaneously. It promotes the aspiration to your personal goals regardless of what is perceived as acceptable, releasing all judgment. This stone assists in grounding high level spiritual energy to the reality of every day life.

The Practicality and Usefulness of Learning How to Cook or Bake

I should say this is one of my favorite pastime as well. It gives me the feeling of being in charge of myself whenever I try to bake. I am not a good cook though. Although in all honesty I am not that expert, I still would like to learn more tips about how to make baking or cooking a great past time. The very first pastry I've tried baking is actually a brownies...I am not sure if we could consider this as a 'cake', since the ingredients are just mixed all together, and doesn't need much effort on your part. But I can say that I have perfected this craft. Not really boasting, but I learned it from my own mother who studied baking and cooking for her major in B.S. Education. But she is now utilizing her ideas at home and whenever there are orders.

Truth is, the study of baking or cooking (HOME ECONOMICS) is very practical. Aside from learning this craft, you can make a profit, you can save and even teach cooking and baking in school,(useful for those who wanted to become a teacher in H. E.). I am happy to say that I've learned to think carefully before loitering some money on buying foods that are not as nutritious as this ones can provide. You will also learn that when you bake or cook your own foods, instead of buying them, you could make great savings while learning, as well as the happiness it can bring while serving your love ones.

The Challenge Brougth About by the Devastation of Typhoon "FRANK"

I wouldn't want to reinstate again and again the wreck caused by the typhoon Frank to many Filipinos who lives here and abroad. Though we may say that these has been the cause of our own carelessness, like simple throwing of litters just anywhere around us. We don't strive to follow instructions to simple rules given to us because of laziness syndrome, as well as negligence to the fact that we should be aware of all the dangers this can bring about. So now, though I don't want to be blunt about it, but since this is the truth for me, we are reaping the fruit of our unkindness to our mother earth.

I believe that if we would all take this as a challenge to finally take time to replenish the havoc of this tragedy, simply by doing small or great deeds that could help motivate each and everyone of us to unite and work on things that could hinder the cause of this flash floods, accidents(ship or vehicular accidents etc.), landslides, global-warming as mothers may explain these phenomenon we experience. Amidst all these happenings we could see, as an eye opener the REALITY that we are only human who are all entitled to keep what was given to us in order(properly).

We can not bring back the past events, we can not correct the wrong, save every lives lost, but we can bring about great future for us and the coming generations. We must not wait for some tragedy to come before we will realize what we've missed out. Though we say that people were helpful during these events, it was not good because still we know what would have been the outcome afterwards.

Making this a challenge for each one as well as myself included, why not be. Let us move and begin RIGHT.
